Community Profile

CEFC is nestled in the beautiful Mahoning Valley in Carbon County, PA. It is a central location near the Pocono Mountains Region about 90 miles west of New York City and 90 miles northeast of Philadelphia. Jim Thorpe is the county seat and a tourist area. Carbon County along with neighboring areas are very scenic as well as rich in historical heritage. There are many nearby tourist attractions and year-round outdoor activities. There are good schools with strong communities in the area with some additional free educational opportunities for college credits. Since the global pandemic, there has been a gradual influx of diverse demographics bringing new culture to the country setting.
